Hi, I’m Pamela, the artist and founder of Handcrafted Holiday Traditions. I specialize in designing and creating vintage-inspired holiday ornaments, plaques, and home decorations that bring timeless charm to any space.
My creative journey began in the 1980s, crafting dolls and primitive folk art ornaments. Over the years, as trends evolved, so did my artistic passions. A few years ago, I discovered the art of decoupage and mixed media through stunning works showcased on YouTube. One artist from Poland, in particular, captivated me with her beautiful ornaments and plaques. I was instantly hooked! Inspired and eager to learn, I immersed myself in videos and tutorials, soaking up everything I could about these intricate techniques.
When I began replicating these designs, I realized that many of the necessary materials and supplies were beyond my budget. Instead of giving up, I took a lea and I connected with wholesalers and distributors, not only to create my own pieces but also to launch a store that offered high-quality, affordable supplies for fellow creators. That’s how our art supply store, Handcrafted Holiday Traditions, was born.
Over time, we expanded our collection to include premium European and American-made mediums, rice papers, and more. Yet, I still faced challenges finding affordable bases for my designs. So, my husband and I decided to invest in a laser cutter to produce our own custom MDF bases. What started as a personal solution has grown into a thriving product line now available at select retailers nationwide.
This journey has been nothing short of a blessing, and I give all the glory to God for the continued opportunities and success we’ve experienced. Every day, I am grateful for the chance to create, share my passion, and inspire others.
